After you earn all 8 gym badges, you’re then able to challenge the Elite Four and try your hand at becoming the region’s champion. Once you beat a gym leader and earn their gym badge, you gain access to new areas in the world and can progress in the story, which gives the game a pretty linear structure. When it comes to gym leaders, there are 8 to face off against in the Hoenn region, each one representing a different Pokémon type. You also get a Pokédex to complete which is a digital encyclopedia that stores information on all the Pokémon you encounter on your adventure. Mainline Pokémon games all follow the same kind of structure where your goal is to catch Pokémon and level them up so that you can become strong enough to take on the various gym leaders in the region. Pokémon games are beloved around the world, and Pokémon Emerald is no different. You can find 5 Trade Stones in the PC in your room at the start of the game.Whether you’ve played a Pokémon game or not, you've no doubt heard about the franchise and how popular it is. But both Huntail and Gorebyss are garbage, so it's not the end of the world. So, you just can't evolve Clamperl in this game. The only exclusion is Clamperl, as it can evolve into two different Pokemon depending on its held item while being traded. Introduced a new item, the Trade Stone to evolve the Pokemon that evolve via being traded.Streamlined Nurse Joy dialogue at the Pokemon Center (removed yes/no option).Made HMs forgettable without Move Deleter.Reduced encounter rate on all water routes east of Petalburg.Gave Winona a shiny Swellow (to fit the anime / manga).Made TMs reusable (standard after Gen V).Streamlined HM usage in the field (doesn't ask for confirmation or provide flavor text).Added physical / special split to battle moves (standard after Gen IV).Winona is in charge of all the gym leaders, Norman and his family are originally from Johto, etc.)
Gave gym leaders and their trainers new text to better characterize them & fit their anime / manga incarnations (i.e.Edited wild Pokemon (raised levels introduced Pikachu to Petalburg Woods made Feebas more easily findable got rid of version exclusives).Edited all trainers (raised levels & increased Pokemon variety).(Huge thanks to the very helpful community for organizing this repo and providing guidance!) Pokemon Emerald was chosen because it's my favorite game in the series and due to the existence of the pokeemerald decompilation project. This mod is aimed to provide two major updates for players: it features a number of quality of life changes to reduce annoyance when playing through the game and it increases the difficulty to provide for a robust challenge.
